Art & Craft Activities
Social isolation is more damaging to our health, particularly as we grow older, than obesity or drug & alcohol abuse. The only remedy to social isolation is companionship and participation in social activities which is often easier said than done for those suffering from the effects of social isolation; that is unless they have help.
One of the ways LINK combats social isolation is by providing social activities and trips supported by volunteers. Providing socially interactive activities in a friendly and welcoming environment as well as being an enjoyable experience is also one way of helping new friendships will develop.
These activities are funded by Grants from Machester City Council, Adactus Housing Association plus Rusholme & Fallowfield Wards.
