We are a cultural organisation that organises outdoor festivals and events, mostly free, in and around Manchester. We are best known for the Streets Ahead festival (that brought exciting street theatre of every scale to Manchester for the first time, from 1995 - 2000); the wonderful (and never able to reach its peak!) Garden of Delights that was held in Platt Fields Park, Fallowfield, 2003 - 2005, sadly cancelled for lack of vision by the Arts Council and Manchester City Council and most recently a number of Enchanted Evenings, Feast! Picnic by the lake, several circus tents and other extravaganzas, such as the Fire garden, most of these also in Platt Fields.
MIA are available to help local people with planning your events - though we do not have funding!
All our events and festivals are open to everyone and we work hard to make sure everyone feels welcome and included, whatever their age, culture, religion or interest. If you would like to join our e-mailing list, please contact us via the website
